Agios Stefanos is one of the most popular beaches on the west side of the island very close to the new port and Mykonos Town.
Here you can admire and photograph perhaps the best sunsets with a unique view on Tinos, Delos and Rhenia.
This beach is suitable for all ages as well as for families, since it combines the beautiful and sheltered from the wind beach with many amenities such as water sports, restaurants with delicious seafood, cafes, mini markets etc. However, it is one of the quiet beaches of Mykonos, so you can relax and enjoy swimming and sunbathing.
There are frequent bus services throughout the tourist season, and has large and spacious parking area with easy access. On the left side of the beach on the edge of the bay is the old church of St. Stephen, from which the beach took its name, while in the northeast is the settlement of the area, with several houses and hotel business.
There are also too many small churches in Agios Stefanos and they are St. George of Mihalovic, St Stephan, St George of Spilianos and other.
The exact founding date of the church is not known. However, old manuscripts reveal that is over 500 years.
Agios Stefanos beach is near to thew new harbor of Mykonos, named Tourlos. Many ships and ferries are arrived in port of Tourlos which is the most modern port on the area of Mykonos.
Agios Stefanos is a quite and beautiful beach with a lot of accommodations around the area. It is a peaceful beach that provide you the calm you need.
